Young Gifted and Black (YGAB) Ceremony …getting Bigger and BIGGER!

Our Young Gifted and Black award ceremony where young achievers are positively used as role models
began as a small scale project with about 30 people in the community centre in 2003 to 800 in 2007. Held in Waltham Forest Assembly it outgrew its previous venues as more schools and colleges are participating un an event that celebrate the achievements of students who have top grades in SATs, Performing Arts and GCSE’s . The idea is to encourage more aspiring students to attain 5 or more passes to promote cultural and academic progress.
